Peace Of Mind and Saving A Life

One of the skills, that everybody should learn is CPR because it is not just about learning a skill, it is about saving a life.

Studies have shown that most accidents and emergencies happen at home. Actually, every parent should have the peace of mind of knowing that they have the proper skills and knowledge to save their own child's life. Infant CPR Certification can provide that peace of mind.

The truth is there is no substitute for proper training and having infant CPR certification in your name. However, it is best if we all know a few tips on how to administer CPR to infants under the age of 1 year old. An infant has a very delicate ribcage and one wrong move can do more harm than good. Use two fingerprints instead of two hands during chest compressions. It is best to always use caution when dealing with an infant and give it for as long as it takes. Administer it until medical professional help arrives. It is important to remember that even when you feel a pulse but the infant is not breathing on his or her own yet, continue on giving the baby breaths every 3 seconds. If the baby suddenly vomits, turn him to his side to prevent him from choking on his own vomit.

Remember we are responsible for every child that we see, whether we are parents of that child or not, and the best way to show that responsibility is by acquiring infant CPR certification.
