Baby CPR- An Essential
Training For Every Parent
Baby CPR training is very essential for every parent or
adult, who handles infants and toddlers, because you never know
when will you need to use first aid for choking, for any infant
or child.
In order to handle such emergencies you should be trained
before hand and have full knowledge of what to do and how to do
it. There are CPR guidelines issued by the hospitals now and
then, and they also conduct classes for the training of the
parents so that when in an emergency one could save the
infant's life. Anyone and everyone, who has to spend time with
babies, such as a babysitter or grandparents, all of them need
to go undergo this baby CPR training and get re-trained after
every 2 years. Get training by expert instructors and attend
the classes rather than reading books or guidelines provided on
Internet.
During the training programs held, instructions are given to
how to tackle the problem and provide first aid for choking.
You must know where to hit the child and how hard so that it is
helpful rather than creating other problems. This will be
possible only when you get the training from an expert and you
do the practicals, while attending the classes and get trained
perfectly. You must not think that you don't need to get
trained because an emergency can happen to anyone anytime. May
be, if you are trained you can help someone else in times of
emergencies. It is also important to get re-trained in every 2
years because many new techniques develop and you need to keep
abreast of the latest techniques.
Although the basics of baby CPR training is almost similar
to CPR, but you need to get some practice so that you are ready
in times of emergencies. The CPR training is provided in two
stages mainly where in one session you will learn about how to
handle the situation of babies from birth to 1 year. The next
session will deal with babies from 1 year to 12 years and will
train you how to handle the situation. The instructions for
first aid for choking, is given and shown so that you can see
and understand practically. The full class usually lasts for 5
hours and the technique is different for different babies and
so you should learn and attend both the sessions. There is an
introduction class too that will help you know the importance
of the training and the hazards of choking.
